Taking additional care of our more vulnerable customers is important to us. That’s why we have been part of the Cold Weather Priority Initiative since 2018, and why WCF Chandlers offer peace of mind when it comes to your heating oil. As a local supplier of domestic heating oil, you can register yourself, a friend or family members with us that might benefit from the Cold Weather Priority Scheme. There is no charge for this service, we want to ensure you keep safe this winter.

What is Cold Weather Priority?

The Cold Weather Priority (CWP) enables heating oil suppliers like WCF Chandlers to identify and prioritise vulnerable customers, to ensure they have the fuel they need to stay warm all winter.

How Does the Cold Weather Priority Scheme Work?

The Cold Weather Priority (CWP) scheme is simple in its design, as it is effective at looking after elderly heating oil customers – if your household has one or more residents aged 75 and over, or someone who would be vulnerable if the house didn’t have heating, you are eligible to take part in the scheme. The scheme works by providing an extra layer of support for elderly customers. By knowing exactly how many of our customers are at risk, we can take proactive steps to prioritise fuel deliveries to these customers, particularly during times of fuel shortages or extremely cold weather.

How can I prevent my tank from running out of oil?

We know that many of our older customers struggle to manually check the level of heating oil in their tank and this can make it difficult to judge the amount of oil needed. To help our customers and provide peace of mind, we now offer an automatic delivery service which we call ‘Tank Smart’.

How does a Tank Smart Monitor work?

Our award-winning home heating monitor, Tank Smart, accurately measures the amount of heating oil within your tank. The data can be sent to your mobile phone, tablet or laptop so you are able to check your supplies, day or night, wherever you are based. The tank's content data is shared with us on a weekly basis, allowing us to fill the tank on your behalf as required. 

So, you can enjoy hassle-free home heating and say goodbye to the worry of running out - it really is like being on a mains supply!  Plus, all our Tank Smart customers receive our premium, clean-burning heating oil, Keromax at no extra cost.
